The JET GH-1640ZX is engineered for shops that require increased horsepower, larger through-spindle capacity, and greater rigidity without moving to a longer bed machine.

With a powerful 10HP, 3-phase motor and a 3.15" spindle bore, this 16" x 40" gear head lathe is built to handle heavier stock, tougher materials, and higher material removal rates.

The D1-8 spindle nose supports industrial-grade workholding solutions, while 12 spindle speeds ranging from 26–1500 RPM provide the torque and flexibility required for aggressive turning, precision threading, deep boring, and production-facing operations

The 10HP motor provides the torque needed for deeper passes, harder materials, and improved metal removal rates compared to lower horsepower machines
