The discontinuation of the ND 780, in September of 2018, has produced a lot of frustrated customers because its replacement, the ND 7013, is over 2x the cost!  Additionally, effective April 1^st 2021 the ND 7013 will be nearly 3x the cost of the ND 780 due to another price increase.

HEIDENHAIN's subsidiary company, ACU-RITE, continues to make the most popular digital readout systems in the machine tool marketplace, yet it cannot replace the ND 780 because the two DROs use different signal types.

To bridge this gap, MERIDIAN Measurement Systems, produced a microprocessor controlled signal adapter which converts analog 11µApp or 1Vpp signals into TTL quadrature of various resolutions. (This kit uses the 11µApp adapters, let us know if you have 1Vpp scales instead)

The signal adapter uses standard HEIDENHAIN and ACU-RITE connectors so plugin is a snap.
